Southeast Testing & Engineering founded in 2009, is ideally located in close proximity to most major hubs in the Southeast United States. We offer package testing and Certifications in a timely, professional and cost-effective manner.
SETE, a privately held, cost efficient operation offers a full spectrum of quality testing. We can issue ISTA test reports within two to five business days, and Hazmat Certifications with our own III-rd Party "+BZ" marking within five to ten business days.
Our larger customers include: NCR, SAFT Batteries, Sigura Water, Pratt Industries, Rinnai, CKS, Atlantic Tape, to mention a few.

Transportation testing (per ISTA, ASTM 4169 and other test protocols):With 3 Compression machines, 2 Vibration Tables and 3 Drop Testers and a TAPPI Lab we are well equipped to perform a variety of tests on packages from small to large, one ton items. ISTA customers will find that we can cater to just about every testing requirement they may have. ISTA tests in series 1, 2, 3 and 6 ASTM 4169 and Many other package/shipping tests, including palletized or multiple packages,

Materials testing With a state-of-the-art TAPPI conditioning Lab we are able to perform to the most stringent requirements of our customers when it comes to paper and corrugated properties, plastic and rubber materials.

Package Improvement:

through Specific Vibration Testing: We can perform different profiles of random vibration tests to simulate precisely truck, air or rail transport. If your product has sensitive and costly components, you may need to know its harmonic frequency, in order to protect it with specific cushioning. Our vibration platform will do a sine sweep to determine what cushion and what package is better for your item,

through measuring shock levels during drop/impact with our triaxial accelerometer (it is only 5 grams and measures 3/8" cube). Whether you measure shock in g-levels or m/s2 or ft/s2, you will find out in real time what cushion suits your needs, and how to save on packaging.

Compliance and minimum damage are the most important characteristics of your package. We deliver certifications and recommendations to help your packaged goods arrive in good condition, at minimum cost and in full compliance. Charles Radev, the founder of SETE, has extensive experience in packaging, including twelve years running a paper & package testing laboratory.
